When I was little, there was a poster size advertisement for an air freshener in a German women’s magazine. The motif was an African landscape at sunset 🐘🐃🐆🦏 and it stayed for a long time on the wall in my children’s room. Since then I am in love with this continent. (I can even still remember the scent of the air freshener… you see: this experience was intense 😂) Ever since my daughter was little, she said “Mommy, I want to go to Africa.” None of us have ever been there, but the love for this part of the world is apparently in our genes 🙂 That’s why I’m absolutely crazy with joy that AMA WEAR has just started a collaboration with Tanzania! I met Kemi Kalikawe from KaziKreative last February at a fashion event in London. What a powerful and positive appearance she has! 🤩 In Tanzania, Kemi is working together with a group of young fashion designers. We started chatting, the first spark for a collaboration was ignited. Not even two full months later, AMA WEAR received first sketches for fashion for people with one breast and it looks great! If the final designs will be anything like Kemi’s first impression she made on me, then hallelujah! 🙃 And who knows, I might actually come to Africa after all… 🌈 Barbara
