Dress with a Twist by Natalie Szegeny - Sewing level: easy
This dress has a minimalistic and sporty, yet elegant design. The twisted shoulder part on the side where the woman’s breast is missing, creates pleats for extra volume and decoration. The dress is made from double layer jersey fabric (imagine a dress made from a heavier t-shirt material, soooo comfortable). You can also make the dress from the outter layer only, which makes it thinner, but you will see a part of the seam on the twisted shoulder part (see picture). Don’t want a whole dress, but you like the design? This pattern is easy to adjust for a beautiful sleeveless shirt: measure on your body how long you want the shirt to be, and transfer this length to your pattern. Not sure exactly what fabrics you need to buy? Ask for advice at your local fabric store, they’re happy to help.
Our model misses her right breast, she wears the shirt in size medium. The pattern of this design can be mirrored, so it is suitable for people with only a left breast as well as individuals with only a right breast To receive the sewing pattern and instructions for this garment, please send us an email with the name of the design, and if you wish to receive the pattern for print on A4, A0 or letter size paper.
